1. Unless you have billion + user profile base then no, you cannot replicate. How is LinkedIn going to magically obtain 600 million odd more user profiles? The only one who has this is Facebook, and I dont think HR is on Mark Z's radar.

2. Because large corporations in the US have policies to not engage with tech companies that are not publicly listed and less than 5 years old. Hence a smart move to list on the ASX to get round this problem and through the door to the big boys.

3. And of course a number of things could happen aside from manipulation to send the price higher.
