Why cant we do that.
That's a good question. And it highlights what every traveller to the US comes to realise. That the US is a very very different culture to Australia.
There would certainly be places where the government could become shareholders for a recovery period, like the US did with GM. But with the unions in control here, its out of the question. They just want the government, ie. ordinary taxpayers, to pave their paths with gold, and then go away.
