I had two reasons for attending.

One to see and hear him speak first hand.

The second was to raise a personal concern I had for someone who had a precancerous cyst at the head of the pancreas which has a high incidence of turning cancerous.

The research and specialist medical opinion was that the risks of surgery to the pancreatic duct out weighed taking this course of action.

Given Professor Fong’s repute I wanted his quick opinion as to whether surgery was an option. He had no hesitation in agreeing surgery was out of the question and stressed the need for annual reviews.

He also went on to say that this particular cancer and its treatment was very advanced by one of his colleagues at the City of Hope and was looking very promising.

At that stage we had not heard from Imugene about the bile duct cancer survivor.

Now this is the important point regarding your comment on valuations of Imugene.

I said to him well I hope big pharma doesn’t buy it and bury the research.

His reply believe it or not was to the effect of ‘This will not happen. What they will have to pay will be far to great to allow them to bury the research. If it is not us someone else will develop something similar and bring it to market. The amount they will have paid will be too great to take that risk.’

Remember I am an anonymous poster claiming to hold shares and relaying my anonymous recollection however in saying this I am personally not in any doubt that my recollection is correct.

Hi Fact Finder I enjoy your posts on IMU and BRN, it appears you like investing in disruptive technologies, I also like to invest in these. I find trying to weigh up the dollars invested in these companies the hardest part. At this point my weighting is more towards IMU than BRN. What’s your thoughts?
