Why spend $4 per boe when you can get twice as much from $2 per boe. There are more sellers than buyers in the market at the moment - and no one will know better than those in the market what price is being paid for deals done now (as they will only be announced over the next 6-12 months).
I'm not willing to put any bets on when oil price will recover, I'm already seeing an uptick in US rig count. WPLs price for SNE will eventually be judged on the next 12 months of deals not the previous. I'm happy to wait and see.
