I agree with fancy pants - very dangerous game to sell now , I wouldn't be trying to pick the timing of a deal. It could happen tomorrow or in the next few months.
Noda you are spot on. This consolidation is setup for post deal I believe to take us to the next level. Imagine RT delivering an awesome deal, the Aussie market would not give it the rerate is deserves , however the US market and more specialised funds would. There are a lot of big holders, including mgmt. that would love to monetise some of their holdings I suspect in a non-takeover scenario and by consolidating this will allow that to happen.
I'm still expecting santa to be very good to NEU holders and deep down I want RT to prove Bells wrong and beat their q1 2018 timeline!
