Okay - I believe in the value of the assets, - you believe in the value assets, - presumably also so do all the people who are still long NXS.
Is there value ? Sure - heaps of it - but extracting that value is another thing altogether, and so far no serious buyer in sight (otherwise we would have a deal already)
...oh yes and why does DV leave now ?
Well here is another possible piece to fit into the jigsaw puzzle.
Its only about now, that the NXS Board (DV included) would probably have been able to properly establish how much its going to take to settle SEDCO. They have had seen all the submissions/evidence, got all the legal opinions on likely success/loss, had the conciliation meeting and stared each other in the eye - maybe even inched closer to agreeing a number - but by now they should have a pretty good idea of what the number is.
Its a significant number in the whole puzzle, and its been a missing piece of information. But now the Board (and DV) have as good idea of what that number is as they are likely to get. ....With that, now DV resigns and back off to SGH.
