good question as to why they (Transocean/SEDCO) bother to fight.
I guess one answer is - because they can, and can go longer at it than NXS can.
Another answer may be, you don't get to their size/succees by leaving anything on the table - you fight for all of it - even "crumbs"
Would the settlement really involve them taking part of CRUX ?- I have no idea, there are others (who post here) with O&G knowledge who would be better at making a guess on that, but I think its probably only fairly recently that the NXS Board has been able to actually get a real "bottom line"
on what it will take to get SEDCO settled.
...and then DV resigns...hmmm
