Export what? The Falcon GL or Territory LOL - both RH drive and who is able to afford the fuel economy other that a middle east country or the US, and then you have the backup warranty, service & support issues.
Even if they built a Fiesta in Aus, how could they compete on price with Asia?
It's not as if these Asian countries assemble their cars by hand - they also have high tech production lines, so it comes down to the labour factor - heck, even the person that that drives the AUS fast food smoko van will be getting many multiples more than a factory worker in Asia - how can we compete with that?
I did a Google on EBA's and Ford, and came across the current EBA for the ETU in Vic which looks like it has some coverage at Ford.
I'm not saying it's wrong, but the high labour costs are a reality and the the only way for Aus to compete globally in manufacturing is to produce products that others can't or won't, and this doesn't last long until it is then cloned by another country once they see the demand.
