My understanding is that there is almost no risk of there not being hydrocarbons at Gindara, the only real risk is reservoir quality (and thus the mobility of the hydrocarbons).
The story that Nido are telling is that they have PSDM 3D seismic and that they can map the good quality reservoir within the structure. Given that Malampaya is covered by seismic they should be able to do a comparison and get a reasonable idea of res quality.
The size of Gindara means that the well will not be suspended for production - if it is a discovery it will warrant a full development with many wells. The well may be tested however.
