I think the advice you followed was quite sensible. Its just unfortunate you jumped in at the top of the market by the looks of it. There does seem to be a lot of movement in the SP when there isn't much public information that appears to materially be impacting the business.

Hopefully all the marketing has paid off and the years results - usually announced in August - will have some revenue and profit to show for it.
