To answer "why are we getting smashed" this is my theory.
Everyone including myself had these huge expectations on surprise, it was built up as mammoth, Cottee talked up the results like he had already seen them, it was a company maker, surprise was bigger than ben hur!
Results come out, pretty average, not bad, not great and everyone freaks. and rightly so. Should never have built up expectations so high.
Kind of like a funny movie, if people keep telling you its the funniest, best movie of all time, you go to the cinemas with high expectations. When the movie doesnt live up to those expectations, you get mad and say the movie was crap (even though it may have been a decent movie) and yuo want your money back!!
