That should answer your question. I don't think it's a feeble excuse, if you do, then you should toddle off and ask someone what NATO is.
NATO and EU had no legal authority to get involved in Balkan conflict. But the humanitarian side of the conflict
was the justification to get involved.
Mainly to protect the Muslim population .., the killing
amongst Christians was of no consequence to NATO.
Furthermore, NATO has a presence in the Middle East
thru Turkey So separation of continent is not a valid
excuse.
