Because the system is geared for companies to do things that shareholders may consider dodgy (in their opinion.). As such, these things may be terrible things to do people who have invested in your company - but, entirely legal.

Secondary to this, the share price halved for no apparent reason mid year last year and XPE got a price query to which they said "no reason for the SP decrease"

Then shortly after they announced Lisa and John had left. No reason for the SP decrease indeed.

Funny how investors allegedly connected to Athan pulled their shares from the COY just before this all occurred.
