We need to go back to the beginning when CF33 was in the hands of Vaxinia and Paul Hopper was looking for financing options to advance the technology. In fact, we know that he had worked up several potential financing options. How advanced were these financing options and given the worldwide reception to news about CF33 - some call it hype and others call it promise - how disappointed were potential investors to news that the CEO of Imugene had secured the licencing deal of the century?

Could it be that investors who missed out in providing seed funding for Vaxinia have pressed for the opportunity to invest via a placement in IMU. Apparently from an earlier post, Imugene has had significant inbound interest from domestic and international institutions off the back of the OV program. Could be unrelated of course or it could reflect the serious institutional interest in CF33. I'm not sure if we have had much in the way of interest from domestic or international institutions previously in relation to our B cell platform.

This could well be the last opportunity for institutional and sophisticated investors to buy in via placement. Here on in its via the market. There may be 5B shares on issue but accumulation may now be the order of the day. Funny, but in 12-18 months time, following the results of the Phase 1 trial, it could be a tightly held stock.
