An avergare coupld making an average wage of 55k a year buying an average house price of 350k is not so easy.
Repayments would be around $600 per week then add on insurance rates water bills etc you get closer to $700 a week.
That just about takes up the complete 55k wage...you then need to pay for transport food etc...yes you can get some money from the govt eg welfare but this shouldnt be required fro the average couple to buy the average house
