As FRM are largely the cheapest eggs on the market it is the brands that are $8-$11 or $12.50 as I saw the other day that will not able to pass on the added cost. I fear they exist because of the wheat price, but they will be unable to pass on another $2 to the consumer and charge $13 for eggs. They will disappear and FRM will take their market share. With less competition the supermarkets are in a worse position to negotiate prices. The consumer will inevitably have to accept the new price.
You say that it's some big surprise about the wheat price but this was discussed in the AGM and I mentioned it in the notes from that...
