that’s assuming the SP opens around the price of the share issue and then most new shares are not sold on the way up. So holders would lose value on the shares they already own in the short term and hope the rise is maintained.
my view is that many many millions of shares will be sold at or about the price prior to share issue, with many taking their 20% profit. Basically leaving most people no better or worse off but holding many more shares.
