re: why i bought nab - livas LONG TERM I believe NAB's and other banks growth will come from Wealth Management.
Remember, currently comp. super runs at 9%, Soon 10% then 12, 15 and maybe 18 or 20% as the gov't more and more realises they can't afford to pay any meaningful pension. As wages rise and super % rise wealth mgt is going to become huge, both in and out (allocated pensions, annuities and such).
In the shorter term, it's true that divs and earnings may come under pressure, but I still very much believe NAB is worth plenty to one's long term, like personal super fund
