It shouldnt matter who you bought them through.
As conversion time approaches the compnay or the registry
would send you a form to fill in to convert the oppies.

At that time you pay the appropriate amount i.e. 15c exercise price for each oppie you wish to convert.

Alternatively you can contact the share registry and ask them to send you a form. Oppies can be converted at any time you like before expiry date. It does not have to be in August.

It takes a period of time between paying and finally seeing your converted oppies as actual shares on commsec.
The share registry should be able to advise on the time.
In the past I have received a faxed oppies conversion form from registries when I requested one early.
