The market has had "several issues" ongoing since the start of the GFC. The main issue at present is the Greek debt and the market has know about that for quite some time. The market is simply using the Greek debt rating as a good reason to take a breather.
One of the primary reasons for my participation in the SPP is to do my little bit to help support a company I'm invested in. The secondary reason is to make a small paper profit.
