if someone is writing the history on mis
they should not forget the riverland wine growers who "voluntarily" financed (with $7 million without iwi unitholder approval)(through iwi) into one of the largest mis grape growing enterprises in australia, which just happened to be substantially owned and managed by the then iwi ceo and his associates.
a real own goal which stuffed the riverland wine grape growing industry. and also a disaster for the mis tax punters.
with wine grapes on the nose and mis wine grapes virtually unsaleable, this mis promotor then moved into tasmanian cherry mis, which i forsee will also be a financial disaster for the mis tax punters.
