rail cost I would budget on around $3 million a kilometre for a railway line ( I think FMG used that figure) 30 million for a ship loader and 40 million for other port infrastructure, then you have to decide who pays for locos and wagons.
but I think we are jumping the gun to make an assumption a rail line is to be built.
IF they get it its more likely piggyback on BHP's operation if Chip is preparded to pick up this bucket of rusty nails,
BHP was going to improve its rail linkage as it was at capacity though so its going to be a hard call for CAZ to get first option on that extra capacity when it is probably already allocated to BHP
More than likely the iron ore will stay in the ground.
