Kohler shouldn't be so hard on himself. In Early 2008 when Australian interest rates were rising quickly and the Dow was tanking, he was one of the first to say that he believed in 2009 Australia will be more worried about a possible recession than raging inflation. He stated this on the 7.30 report one night and his comments were deemed crazy at the time. He was 100% right about that one in hindsight. I distinctly remember his commentry at that time, as I was deciding whether to fix or float my mortgage. Lucklily I floated it, big thanks to Kohler.
