Personally, I only buy Duracell. Other batteries are false economy. But I do agree that many places sell top brand batteries cheaper than the majors. If they can do it why can't the majors? It's because they know 9/10 won't make the effort to think about their purchases.
I find a 'promotion' perculiar,as it's always around. A 10 pack is side by side with a 10 pack + 6 bonus batteries. Same brand, same price, so who in their right mind would buy the 10 pack?
