The volume in WSA/IGO over the last couple of days is also quite interesting.
Some funds are dumping, and conversely some funds are buying, enormous positions in IGO. The trades are getting crossed by institutional brokers like UBS. WSA volume seems to be falling. Given the lack of corresponding volume at WSA I'm not really sure what it means at this stage, and I'm curious if anyone else has any ideas.
It doesn't seem to be anything index fund or passive fund related as the next index rebalancing date is in December. It could be some funds positioning in anticipation of a good IGO quarterly release on Monday, but I'm throwing mud at the wall here.
