I asked PC about Flunet and I think he said it is their backup plan for LANI and that it will likely never be commercialised because of LANI's long patent life...

...so what does that mean? If by chance LANI does not receive FDA approval, only then try to advance Flunet? Or if LANI is up against mutations, only then try to advance Flunet? Shut the door after the horse has bolted PC.

Is Flunet no better than LANI? Surely it is a third gen antiviral and an improvement. Why not look to advance it?

Flunet is pre-clinical - if they don't start advancing it now, they can give up on continuity of their influenza pipeline. They have a 2 year patent vacuum between Zanamivir and LANI and yet they not learned from this.

BARDA and other agencies are keen to fund future antivirals - try to tell me and prove there is no funding out there to advance Flunet at least through to Phase II and I'll give up on this argument.

Seriously, this is the problem with Biota management. Poor foresight. We have seen it over and over and over again.

As Muzza said, management have pushed us into a corner - to a point where we have no choice - this is indeed what the consultant has said.

CNTD with my next post - new thread title - I demand a new CEO ASAP.
