I am one of those immigrants , but even when we arrived into 60's - 70's Aus we had more rights and head starts than Indig folk.
I could read , and write , and speak english , even the camp we stayed at little cost was better than any Indig camp at that time.
My parents also had the benefits of years of education , government support and apprenticeships etc.
When in the 60's and 70's did our Indig get those head starts.
All they want is a Voice to be heard .
