Worthwind,
WW said " there is a clear move for big pharma to pick up 'de-risked' assets, such as near end of phase iii after interim data release, such as ATC"
It's a huge jump to imply the interim data release will de-risk a compound such as ATC. Your comment is speculative at best because it is unknown what the outcome of such interim data will be. I would suggest that big pharma is not convinced in regard to the commerciality of ATC and that is why they haven't been sufficiently interested to put up their hand. If all these supposedly interested parties that AVX, whom they have been saying they are in discussions with, has amounted to nothing then I think there is a message in that which is hard to ignore yet you choose to ignore the message and in fact seem to be trying desperately to dismiss.
I would imagine big pharma would have had their experts run the ruler over ATC ... if they can't see the value at this stage then I can't see any compelling reason why PGL shareholders should take on a risk at a time when big pharma are thumbing their nose AVX.
I WILL BE VOTING AGAINST THE MERGER!
Cheers
