Not getting into a discussion but if you put more people out of work then that causes a recession and it is not the ideal way to solve an inflation issue - killing off the econy meand that the cure is worse than the disease.
"Over paid" - where? 10 years on almost zero wage growth has killed that idea off.
Suggest you may want to read those economic texts again.
