When you buy bluechip, if you short on cash, just do "canabal action". Meaning sell a little bit of shares for enough spending of that year. Say you own a house and 150k shares, the 150k shares generates dividend not enough for spending, you chomp off 5000k shares per year. So in 10 years, you still own a house and 100k shares. Guarantee the child is happy daddy not gambling away. Tell the child, when daddy was little, nobody bought daddy any shoes let alone a house and 100k bluechip shares. I am sure kids are smarter than us and understand. But if you are humble, they are humble. Just being truthful to your family because we all here as investor is for them right?
