The person with 1.5 probably has a little bit more left when they die. Like most aussies the guy on 1.5 likely hasn't planned for non tax dependent super death tax. Further more the guy with 1.5 has sat on too much capital with his assets in a low growth environment, meaning the family estate asset growth has essentially stalled. Some early intergenerational wealth planning would mean the majority of asset is held in growth orientated assets which can also be supported by earnings capacity of younger generations.
