In principle no argument however, assume in July I put all my super - a million into IMU at $0.10 and by Xmas it goes to $1.00 so now I have $10 mil but still no revenue. Then oops 1st july the following year it drops to $0.20 so now worth $2 mil. At what point do I pay what tax ? Yes, for simplicity sake there are obviously flaws in the example, so please don't bother pointing them out. Perhaps I should write to John Hewson to get him to explain how it will work for my investment in birthday cakes
