The global markets had very healthy rises overnight.
Banking fears have calmed and there was a rebound in technology stocks.
All European markets showed strong gains.
In the US, the DOW closed 323 points higher and the NASDAQ Biotech Index was up 50 points.
The NASDAQ was up 210 points which is the biggest rise in quite a while.
We might see some renewed positive activity on the ASX today - yesterday was still a bit muted.
