Be interesting to see what happens on the ASX today.
In Europe, the FTSE rose. In the EU, the DAX and the CAC both fell. The European central bank raised interest rates and this is the reason for the EU markets pulling back.
In the US, the DOW bounced back heavily and closed up 428 points. The NASDAQ Biotech Index rose 51 points and the NASDAQ Composite closed up 156 points.
Data out showed a cooling in the US Labour market. New job applications was unchanged month to month at 260,000. The data also showed a moderation in consumer spending.
US Industrial Production figures showed a decline of .2%. All pointers against future interest rate rises and the two promised by the US Fed in 2023 are less likely.
