    I agree. The only time I would sell at a loss (just IMO of course - so please nobody do what I do) is to re-balance, say where I had a portion of a share that seemed not to have any real future, when I could use that money to put into another stock that had enormous potential. Like not cross promoting at all, but recently, and before the larger hike, I wanted to top up on a certain lithium marvel from a large western state of ours, that roars a lot, and the loss from the dead weight stock, was quickly swallowed up. I was happy to wear that small loss to obtain the massive gain that followed! But that was a strategy which I don’t do a lot, but when I need to. Generally as you say, to sell at the bottom (when a huge rise may be around the corner) is foolish mostly. But I will never use a stock like IMU to re-balance though. That is a long hold for me.
