I believe AI is getting used fairly extensively in medical research. I've read a couple of articles that have detailed solutions that AI have come up with.

Whether IMU is using it I wouldn't know for sure but I would be VERY surprised if it's not.
AI has been pretty successfully in cancer spotting and research so far. There are plenty of articles out there showing studies and successes
