Just to clarify CAR-Ts are to be used with OnCARlytics, which was developed by Saul Priceman and Yuman Fong. They've been combining different therapies for years.

CF33 is the backbone of OnCARlytics, the “CAR” part is essentially Sauls (and other City of Hope scientists) work, which causes tumours to express CD19 aftet CF33 has found and infected them.

I imagine they chose CD19 to be the protein/target of choice by OnCARlytics because there's already approved CD19 directed/attacking CAR-Ts that have excellent (80%+) response rates (liquid cancers).

To answer your question, I believe he knows about it and is super excited at the potential CAR-Ts could bring to CF33 efficacy/response rates and even more excited about an allogeneic CAR-T like Acer Cell being approved to join forces with OnCARlytics.
