Mixed bad with global markets overnight.
In Europe, the FTSE fell 8 points (.11%), the DAX rose 76 points (.4%) and the CAC rose 47 points (.69%).
In the US, the DOW fell 40 points (.12%), the NBI had a sharp fall of 62 points (1.6%), the NASDAQ eked out a small rise if 10 points (.07%) and the Russell small cap index fell by 19 points (1.14%).
Oil prices had another downward day with Brent crude sitting below US$80.
US treasury bond yields stable at 4.67%.
On the Biotech front, Eli Lily gained FDA approval for its weight loss drug Tirzepatide. This is already approved as a Diabetes 2 drug. Estimated that 15mil Americans weight loss drugs by 2030. Could be a very lucrative decision for Eli Lily.
