The safety numbers for Auto vs Allo are quite telling. Just reading from the slide we can see that azer-cel has nil grade 3 or severe AE for CRS and nil neurologic toxicities of any grade. Meanwhile auto CAR-T has generated quite a severe cytokine storm. I hadn't seen the slide so thanks for reposting.
The safety signal is highly favourable for azer-cel. Immune Effector Cell Associated Neurotoxicity Syndrome (ICANS) is a potentially life threatening neurotoxicity that commonly occurs with auto CAR-T therapy. If all things are equal in regards to efficacy, patients are going to adopt the CAR-T immunotherapy that doesn't result in significant morbidity and mortality.
