You have a point, but it's worth mentioning a distinction ... Covid and the ensuing vaccine were 'novel' so bending rules/fast-tracking/throwing everything at the wall whatever was understandable.

Cancer? Certainly not novel ... myriad existing treatments and ... whatever we hope for IMU's prospects ... we are certainly not the only player in the field,

Naturally, if IMU trial results continue to show promise we can expect favourable treatment from FDA or any other organisation that takes an interest.
