The apostrophe is indeed missing ... and this is a grave sin ... but from memory) it's in the last or second last para of very large and as usual interesting post.
So ... 'I stopped reading at the missing apostrophe' actually means that i read the whole post.
Joke within a joke ... spotting the missing apostrophe means i was reading carefully., again, as usual.
