Global markets were all in positive territory overnight.
In Europe, the FTSE was up 25 points (.35%), the DAX rose 128 points (.77%) and the CAC rose 41 points (.56%).
UK PMI data comes out on Wednesday.
In the US, the DOW rose 138 points (.36%), the NBI rose 16 points (.39%), the NASDAQ Composite rose 49 points (.32%) and the Russell small cap index rose 39 points (2.03%).
Lots of talk around suggesting that small caps will do very well in 2024 as a bull market scenario will lessen risk averse sentiment in the markets.
US GDP data is out on Thursday.
US company 4th quarter earnings reports are continuing with 65% beating profit estimates.
US markets are officially in bull market territory.
Oil prices are surging a bit as risks of an expanded conflict in the Middle East increases - fears that Iran will take a bigger part. Oil has gone past the psychological US$80 per barrel.
Brent crude oil price at US$80.33 per barrel.
US Treasury 10 year bond yield at 4.11%
Gold price at US$2,021 per oz.
