As others have posted, you have provided a very detailed and accurate description of the current CAR-T process.

Whilst there have been quite a few successful treatments, there are still too many that fail. My partner received this treatment last year. It was organised via PeterMac (Melbourne). She had Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL), which had returned after having six months chemo he previous year, thus qualifying for the treatment (thanks to the PBS).

She was in hospital for nearly 4 months recovering from the side effects, including a stint in ICU due a brain seizure.

Unfortunately after about four months, the DLBCL again returned, and just as she was about to start a third new type of treatment (obtained from the US on compassionate grounds), her spleen broke down.

I found this document put out by PMc provided a useful description: https://www.lymphoma.org.au/lymphoma/treatments/chimeric-antigen-receptor-car-t-cell-therapy/
