Thank you for sharing, Ben. I do feel sadness and frustration for patients whom I see with a cancer diagnosis. The lucky few are cured, usually after grueling combinations of surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. They just survive, usually broken with new ongoing ailments from their treatment side effects. Many have their sentence extended with immunotherapies. The majority have a new life, one where they have to accept the end is near and things could and will just fall apart at any moment. Their families suffer too. I hold and keep holding, holding and waiting with faith that the future will be ok for some trial participants, the undiagnosed and the ones fortunate enough to be diagnosed at the right time, when a vaccine will be available for them and they wont have to accept a fate of suffering until their last breath comes prematurely. The conundrum we face, knowing there is hope in the pipeline, people dying when they don't have to, but we just have to hold and wait.
