    European markets were mixed overnight.

The FTSE fell 33 points (.33%), the AX rose 41 points (.25%) and the CAC rose 54 points (.71%).

AstraZeneca announced a US$3.7bil drop on revenue from COVID related dugs.

In the US, the markets were largely flat. The DOW rose 48 points (.13%), the NBI rose 3 points .072%), the NASDAQ Composite rose 37 points (.24%) and the Russell small cap index staged a decent rise of 29 points (1.50%). Perhaps an indication that markets may becoming less risk averse.

The march of AI seems to be unrelenting. ARM rose 55% (not a typo) on the back of increased demand and orders for its chips.

Interesting that ARM (UK company) chose to snub the LSE and listed solely on NASDAQ. Maybe their example could be where IMU should be heading.

Significant rise in oil prices - Middle East tensions and a fall in US production are the main culprits.

    Brent crude price at US$81.90.

US Treasury 10 year bond yield at 4.16%.

    Gold price at US$2,033.
