Thank you for your comments and the ‘tag’.

I note that T-bull is a regular user of the ‘ignore function’, and I must admit I use it occasionally. HC is an interesting world, with every poster/reader having their own reasons to visit. The bottom line is that it is a free, anonymous forum, and that attracts all manner of voices and motives.

I tend to use HC as a distraction, or opportunity to step away from my real work. Yes, I am of a ‘retirement age’, but I am blessed, or cursed, with a curious outlook, so real retirement may be a long way off. I suspect that you may be retired and I believe Davy is also. In my view, Davy is the best ‘science’ poster on this forum. I have even, half joking, offered him a job with my team. He is thorough and insightful. Personally, I just don’t have that sort of time to spend on these forums.

I post, when I get a chance, to dig a little deeper into a field that is a fair way from my own research/specialist area. As I have stated before, I am not an oncologist, but I can take my skills and knowledge, from my field of research, and apply them here.

Note: I very rarely post on forums where I do have considerable expertise ... this could be viewed as giving ‘expert advice’, and therefore frowned upon by the HC moderators. Its better for me to take my brain into another field, and make a deep dive, as a distraction.

Speaking of distractions, I must now turn back to an application I am making, for government funding ... something the scientists, researchers and medicos on these treads probably have had some experience also.

I still have a couple of science-based ‘deep dives’ to make in the IMU world, and when I do, I will share ... just as a distraction.
