Hi Dave,

Acknowledgement on a critical research paper is very important.

In the medical sciences the general rules state:-

To be listed as an author, each researcher must meet 3 critical criteria:

• they must have been involved in designing the project, collecting data or analysing the results;

• they must have participated in drafting or revising the manuscript; and

• they must have approved the final, published paper.

Remember, if the paper becomes famous, ‘every author gets to claim credit’.

In my view, if you think the results are going to get the medical community to sit up and take notice (ie. you’ve made a major medical breakthrough), then you want your name on it !!!

There are 21 authors listed on the Session PO.CT01.02 -First-in-Human Phase I Clinical Trials 2- CT182 / 10 - Oncolytic virus CF33-hNIS for the treatment of advanced cancer

So, @davybabyk , I agree with you ... it feels like it’s a little bit more that research etiquette, these results may be very, very interesting. Of course, only time will tell.
