Don't even worry about it mate, you did nothing wrong. This day and age there's always someone ready to be offended at anything you say. Everyone loves to play the victim and has forgotten what a joke is. Quite sad really, can't even say an innocent joke these days without worrying about being labelled whatever the latest buzzword is or even having legal action taken against you!
Maybe after IMU cures cancer they can cure whatever disease it is our society is suffering from!
