European markets were all up overnight.
The FTSE rose 29 points (.37%), the DAX rose 67 points (.38%) and the CAC rose 41 points (.52%).
In the US, the technology sector continues to drag markets down. Higher expectations on big tech earnings are fueling a negative sentiment when earning targets fall short.
The DOW eked out a modest gain of 22 points (.058%), the NBI fell 40 points (.98%), the NASDAQ Composite fell 81 points (.52%) and the Russell small cap index fell 4 points (.26%).
US Treasury 10 year bond yield continues to strengthen - currently at 4.63%.
Oil prices are slightly down - Brent crude at US$86.85 per barrel.
The gold price sits at US$2,378 per oz.
