European markets were largely in the red overnight.

The FTSE rose 7 points (.088%), the DAX fell 42 points (.24%) and the CAC fell 23 points (.29%).

In the US, the DOW rose 146 points (.38%), the NBI had a very good day and rose 70 points (1.72%), the NASDAQ Composite rose 55 points (.35%) and the Russell small cap index rose 14 points (.70%).

US Fed meeting in the next week with release of April jobs, job openings and Services and Manufacturing data.

Apple and Amazon earnings reports also due this week.

US Treasury 10 year bond yield is at 4.61%.

Oil prices up a bit - Brent crude at US$88.50 per barrel.

Gold price sits at US$2,336 per ox.
